Chinook Pass, 5447 feet, is located on Highway 410 between Yakima Peak to the west and Naches peak to the east. Here is the view from the road looking up the northwest ridge.

Looking down to 410 and the pass from high on the northwest ridge. Ski time!

After skiing the northwest ridge I headed over to the north side and was treated to this horizontal rainbow caused by the intense alpine sun shinning through ice crystals in the high cirrus clouds.
